Introduction
The White Horse Sessions was set up in 2005 getting its name from the wild and wonderful waves, like leaping white horses, of the Atlantic Ocean right on our door step.
We often had musicians meet up for a session in the pub and soon realised there was no such facility available in West Clare at the time and offered our space for the local musicians to come together, be creative and jam. Through that love and appreciation of all genres of music The White Horse Sessions was born. It is proudly the longest running original music session, of its kind, in County Clare.
Held every Tuesday night over the summer season, each White Horse Sessions facilitates three or four original acts, providing a platform for original artists and bands to show case their creativity and talent to an appreciative, listening audience, some on stage for the very first time.

During the Spring & Autumn we also host a limited number of ticketed gigs including album launches from some of the artists who performed on our Tuesday Summer Sessions.
Kenny's Bar was proudly shortlisted for the IMRO Small Venue of the Year Awards in 2018 which brought great recognition to Kenny's Bar and The White Horse Sessions.
Over the last 5 years Kenny's Bar and The White Horse Sessions has proudly been involved in recruiting, promoting and facilitating a stage for the Doolin Folk Festival which takes place every June at the award-winning Hotel Doolin. Here we host our own designated “alternative” stage facilitating an array of genres and acts from all over the world.
